Transbois Canada Ltd is a company located in St-Pamphile in the county of L’Islet. M. and Mrs Jalbert buys the company in 1977 which belonged to Maibec. At the time, the fleet consists of 6 trucks and 7 trailers.
Purchase of Building
Initially, the offices are at home. In 1983, Transbois buys a building that will serve as office and warehouse, as well as garage for washing trucks and trailers
Arrival of B-Trains
Originally, Transbois mainly specializes in the transport of wood chip, bark, etc. In 1985, wishing to meet its clients’ needs, Transbois opens a new B-Train division. These trailers allow more possibilities for transporting goods and load capacity.
USA and IT
Over time, Transbois adds a Flatbed division in 1987 for the United States, again at the request of clients. As the company is expanding, the use of computers is introduced which allows better management.
Jack and PEP
Because Transbois is a company mindful of its image, in 1998 it acquires a “jack” in order to improve truck maintenance and the quality of work of its mechanics. Also, the PEP program (preventive maintenance) is implemented to ensure higher quality inspections.
Offices and Warehouse
Due to its expansion, in 2001 Transbois acquires a new building which will serve as offices and warehouse. This allows the addition of new staff to better meet customer requirements, especially for the USA with customs regulations.
We are very happy to present our new administrative team: Laurent Jalbert, Luc Jalbert, Marco Jalbert, Dany Lizotte and Alain Fournier. Brand new projects are underway. We have opened in September 2012 our new St-Romuald branch.
